A MAGAZINE CREATED DURING A SHORT COURSE AT CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS. TAKING THE VIEWER ALONGSIDE MY 22ND OF NOV 2021 AND FINDING BEAUTY IN THE ORDINARY.
A magazine that I created during a Central Saint Martins Short Course on ‚Print Communication‘. It takes the viewer along my 22nd of Nov 2021 - an ordinary day of my life, yet relevant being shown. At that time I was living in London, so I used every chance to get out into the buzzing streets of Bethnal green and take pictures of my daily surroundings.
Capturing my life and giving supposedly boring and unexciting moments a sense of beauty made me feel very conscious of my life.
The magazine works with a minimalistic layout that explores different arrangements of repetitions and series. Starting with a schedule of my day as an overview the element of time is the connecting element throughout the publication. The choice of 'Neue Haas' as the only font enhances the well-structured and clear aesthetic of this project.
